IRVING, Texas — 7-Eleven has relaunched its limited-edition coconut coffee in participating convenience stores nationwide.
The sweet and creamy coconut-flavored coffee is fresh brewed and made with 100% Arabica beans. 7Rewards loyalty members who have not already redeemed their seven free beverages—a special 7-Eleven launched in June—can drink the coconut coffee for free through August 9.
Customers purchasing the coconut coffee in-store can mix it with 7-Eleven’s mocha latte to create a coconut mocha, also known as a Coco Loco Mocha.
"As more and more of us are dreaming of a trip to an exotic locale this year, it's time to find other ways to treat ourselves," said Marissa Jarratt, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for 7-Eleven. "While we might not be saying 'Aloha' to the beach this summer, we can say 'Mahalo' for seven free cups of coconut coffee—one of many treats and drinks 7-Eleven customers can grab for a quick and delicious escape."
7-Eleven introduced the sustainable, Seven Reserve coffee line in March 2018 with its Africa Blend, a 50-50 blend of 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified Arabica beans from Ethiopia and Rwanda. The company also offers coffees from Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru, Sumatra and Colombia. Single-origin, 100% Colombian Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee is now a permanent offering and top seller on the hot beverage bar, it said.
Responsible sourcing of coffee and coffee packaging rolls up into 7-Eleven’s corporate social responsibility goals. The retailer is working toward a 20% reduction in its energy and packaging footprint by 2025.
