AdvancePierre Spices Up the Roller Grill

Introduces cheeseburger links in two flavors

CINCINNATI -- AdvancePierre Foods, the leader in fully cooked, seasoned and sauced meat products, introduced new burger items designed for the roller grill. Comparable in texture, color and flavor to the juicy beef patties that have made the BIG AZ sandwich line a top seller, the Cheeseburger Roller Grill and Jalapeño Cheeseburger Roller Grill links were introduced at the NACS Show in October.

The Cheeseburger Roller Grill link features juicy flame-broiled beef with cheesy chunks and savory burger flavor and bite. The Jalapeño Cheeseburger Roller Grill link features spicy, flame-broiled beef blended with diced jalapeños, onions and pepperjack cheese. Both links are infused with APF’s proprietary blends of seasonings and cheese and cooked to perfection for easy heating and serving from the roller grill.

“Our new roller-grill links have the look, taste and bite of cheeseburgers,” said Tony Schroder, president of convenience channels at APF. “We’re taking our proven beef recipes to the roller grill, providing a quick, convenient and delicious offering to customers.”

An independent consumer research firm conducted a blind taste test with convenience-store shoppers to gauge how consumers rated the Hot ‘n’ Ready Grill Cheeseburger Roller link vs. a top-selling roller-grill link from another leading brand. The Hot ‘n’ Ready Grill cheeseburger link scored significantly higher in texture than the competitor and was preferred for color and flavor. Overall the Hot ‘n’ Ready Grill Cheeseburger product also scored a higher purchase intent vs. the competitive product.

The Hot ‘n’ Ready Grill links have a 14-day refrigerated, 12-month frozen shelf life. The links, sold 40 pieces to a case, are available now nationwide.
