MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Commercial-equipment manufacturer Alto-Shaam has launchedits new ChefLinc Remote Oven Management System available for convenience stores and other foodservice providers.

The ChefLinc is a remote system that allows foodservice operators to control their equipment from anywhere in the store. Its cloud-based dashboard provides real-time connectivity status and the cooking state for each oven and notifies of any service alerts. The system’s recipe library also allows operators to transfer recipes and other information without a USB plug-in or traveling to stores to enter updates manually.

The ChefLinc is available to use with Alto-Shaam’s Vector H Series Multi-Cook Ovens and will soon expand to other products, Alto-Shaam said.

“One of the biggest challenges that all operators now face is how to ensure the highest consistency and quality throughout their restaurants and foodservice operations,” said Jeff McMahon, senior director of product management for Alto-Shaam. “ChefLinc puts operators in total control of their equipment from anywhere they are, with intuitive recipe management and data driven insights that enable streamlined processes and greater consistency.”

Founded in 1955, Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Alto-Shaam offers cook-and-hold ovens, connection ovens, combi ovens, chillers, warming cabinets and drawers, heated buffet and display cabinets, merchandisers, fryers and rotisseries.
