
Casey’s General Stores is marking four decades of its pizza with deals for Rewards members on April 3: a Mega Slice is selling in stores for 40 cents while whole pies are 40% off using the promo code BIRTHDAY.
“When the fifth largest pizza chain turns 40, you got to get a little crazy,” said Brad Haga, senior vice president of prepared food and dispensed beverage at Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey’s. “That’s why we’re giving our pizza lovers something to celebrate with us.”
Haga added, “From our iconic breakfast pizza to taco-topped pies or your favorite topping combination on our made-from-scratch dough or crispy thin crust, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as we toast to the next 40 years.”

Casey’s, the fifth largest pizza chain in the U.S., uses made-from-scratch dough, 100% real mozzarella cheese, hand-cut veggies and quality meats, the company said.
“Every pizza is handmade and baked in real kitchens by team members trained in pizza-making craftsmanship, from perfecting our dough to boxing the perfect pie, it all started four decades ago,” Casey’s said
Casey’s introduced pizza in April 1985, the company said, and launched breakfast pizza (Bacon Breakfast Pizza, pictured) in September 2001. Casey’s introduced thin-crust pizza in June 2023.
Casey’s last year put a face to its pizza and beer offerings, selecting Joe Cruz from Lincoln, Nebraska, as its first “Chief Pizza and Beer Officer.” The convenience-store chain selected Cruz from out of more than 500 candidates. He is the chain's “utmost authority” on sampling, researching and pairing Casey’s pizzas with the best beer combinations. He also is responsible for creating social media content to inform Casey’s customers about these pairings and attending public events.
Casey’s, based in Ankeny, Iowa, operates more than 2,900 c-stores in the greater Midwest under the Casey’s and goodstop brands and in Texas under the Lone Star Food Stores and CEFCO brands. The company is the third-largest convenience-store retailer and the fourth-largest holder of liquor licenses.
