ANKENY, Iowa — Convenience-store retailer Casey’s General Stores Inc. has made a variety of its existing foodservice menu items available for online delivery, a representative from the company told CSP Daily News.

While the chain has offered online delivery for the past four years—mainly for pizza and small appetizers, such as breadsticks and chips—it now provides potato cheese bites, pizza bites, salads, sub sandwiches and desserts through this service. Some items include its Veggie Salad, Salad with Meat, Italian Sub, Grilled Chicken Sub, Brownie Bites and Peanut Butter Crispy Bites.

A new corporate website that Casey's launched earlier this year has allowed the chain to add these offerings to its online delivery list, said Art Sebastian, vice president of digital experiences for Casey’s General Stores.

“Since we changed platforms, we’ve seen a significant bump in visits to our site and online orders,” said Sebastian. “This has to do with all of the new pieces of the website, and especially the additional food assortments available for delivery.”

Based in Ankeny, Iowa, Casey’s has nearly 2,100 convenience stores in 16 states throughout the Midwest. The chain ranked No. 4 in CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by number of retail outlets.
