National Hot Dog Day is Wednesday, July 16, and some convenience-store chains are rolling out deals to celebrate.

EG America

At EG America, Westborough, Massachusetts, the chain is stretching the celebration for a full week. Starting July 14 through July 20, customers can purchase two all-beef hot dogs for $3.

“Hot dogs are an American favorite, and we’re excited to celebrate National Hot Dog Day all week by offering this great deal for our guests,” said Mendy Meriwether, vice president of food, dispensed beverage,and QSR at EG America. “Whether you're hitting the road or just stopping in for a quick bite, our $3 hot dog week deal is a convenient, delicious way to enjoy this summertime staple.”

Love’s

Love’s Travel Stops, Oklahoma City, also is partaking with an extended its celebration, offering customers a free hot dog each day from July 14-18 at select locations in 42 states.

Customers can redeem the offer each day during the week through the Love’s Connect app. Once the deal is added in the app, customers can scan the barcode at checkout to receive a free hot dog or roller-grill item.

Rutter’s

York, Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s once again will offer its deal of two regular hot dogs for $2.50.

In addition, the c-store chain is adding six new hot dogs to its summer menu, which runs through Aug. 31.

“This is the biggest, and most unique, hot dog menu we’ve ever done,” said Philip Santini, Rutter’s senior director of food service and bar strategy. “From fried pickles to spicy slaw, to multiple dogs on the same bun, this menu knows no bounds.”

The options are:

  • BLT Dog: Crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, diced tomato and creamy mayo over a classic hot dog in a bun.
  • Cuban Dog: Stacked with pulled pork and sliced ham topped with melty Swiss cheese.
  • Cheese Dog: Nacho cheese anchors this offering, which is loaded with diced onions and peppers.
  • Fried Pickle Dog: A zesty and crunchy fried pickle spear along with banana yellow peppers, mustard and fresh tomatoes.
  • Reuben Dog: Savory corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing.
  • Spicy Slaw Sausage: Smoked hot sausage meets mango habanero heat, creamy coleslaw and jalapenos in this fiery-sweet combo.

Rutter’s hot dogs are supplied by Berks, Reading, Pennsylvania, and all are 100% beef, or beef and pork, without fillers or extenders. With these new options, Rutter’s has 11 hot dogs to choose from through Aug. 31.

7-Eleven

At Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven, from now through July 22, 7RewardsandSpeedy Rewardsmemberscan get Big Bite hot dogs for $2 as part of the Slurpee $1 Days program—or they can get a $5 Meal Deal, which is two Value Grill items or one Big Bite hot dog, a bag of 7-Select Chips and a large Big Gulp.

Customers can customize their Big Bite hot dogs with a variety of toppings, from chili and nacho cheese to fresh veggies and condiments.

On a related note, Blue Owl Brewing in Austin, Texas, in honor of 7-Eleven Day, July 11, is giving out a free slushie for customers buying the hot dog and chips combo.

Sheetz

Altoona, Pennsylvania-based Sheetz is giving away two free hot dogs to customers who buy a minimum of 10 gallons of any fuel grade in a single transaction. This offer is available July 16-22. This promotion will be valid for customers at Sheetz locations that offer fuel by adding it under the OFFERZ tab on the Sheetz app. The offer excludes extras and add-ons to the hot dogs.

On a related note, Sheetz will celebrate National French Fry Day, July 11, by giving away one free bag of fries on the Sheetz app to customers. This offer runs through July 13.

Circle K

Laval, Quebec-based Circle K customers on July 16 can grab two roller-grill hot dogs for $1 through the chain’s app.

Arko

Arko Corp., through its subsidiary GPM Investments, is offering enrolled fas Rewards members who buy a large fountain drink a Nathan’s hot dog for free July 16-18. Stores include fas mart, E-Z mart, Scotchman, Roadrunner Markets, fastmarket, village pantry, Handy Mart and Pride.
