Core-Mark Selects Boyd Coffee as Strategic Category Partner

Will provide expanded coffee, beverage solutions for foodservice customers

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. &PORTLAND, Ore. -- Core-Mark Holding Co. Inc., one of the nation’s largest distributors and marketers of fresh and broad line supply solutions to the convenience-store retail industry in North America, has partnered with Boyd Coffee Co. to expand its coffee and beverage-based solutions.

This strategic partnership brings together two companies to focus on programs and solutions for the coffee and beverage arena.

“This newly created strategic partnership with Boyd Coffee Co. will enable Core-Mark customers to be able to offer the finest tasting, visually appealing, and consumer-relevant product offering in the industry,” said Chris Hobson, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Core-Mark. “We will work hand-in-hand as partners as we bring awareness to our shared customers in regards to the best coffee program they should be offering their valued consumers.”

He continued, “Together, we will give our combined customers an even broader set of tools to drive coffee sales and profits, while staying in touch with the ever changing consumption trends of the beverage consumer. Core-Mark offers a full range of products, marketing programs and technology solutions to approximately 35,000 customer locations in the United States and Canada through 29 distribution centers (excluding two distribution facilities the company operates as a third-party logistics provider). Core-Mark services traditional convenience-store retailers, grocers, drug, liquor and specialty stores and other stores that carry convenience products.
