Cumberland Farms Celebrates National Pretzel Day

Chain bundles salty snack with Chill Zone drinks at promotional price

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — The Cumberland Farms convenience-store chain will offer customers a free Chill Zone beverage with the purchase of any hot pretzel in recognition of National Pretzel Day.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 26, customers can stop by any of the brand’s retail locations in the Northeast and Florida to enjoy this salty deal for $2.39.

Varieties available include the classic salted pretzel, as well as flavors such as Salted, Cinnamon Sugar and Sweet Cream Cheese Stuffed. The retailer also offers a wide variety of Chill Zone beverage options, including Hyperfreeze frozen drinks in flavors such as the chain's signature Cotton Candy Commander and Berry Backlash.

The Westborough, Mass.-based company, which has more than 560 c-stores in New England, New York and Florida, has hired Bank of America to look into selling the retail network. It is No. 15 in a Top 40 update of CSP’s2018 Top 202 ranking of c-store chains by number of retail outlets.
