Delta Sonic Opens First Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shops

Retailer plans to open additional New York locations

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Delta Sonic held a grand opening event on Friday in Salina, N.Y., for its first Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop. The site is one of two Delta Sonics that now feature a Tim Hortons--the second recently opened in Buffalo at Orchard Park. The company plans to gradually open more locations in other Delta Sonics across New York state, it said.

The cafe and bake shop offers many of the chain's popular products, including Tim Hortons Always Fresh premium blend coffee, iced beverages and baked goods.

"For 45 years, Delta Sonic has always believed in giving our customers the best, and Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is a brand known for being one of the best," said Kim Canna, marketing director at Delta Sonic.

At the grand opening event, the first 250 customers received a complimentary travel mug and coffee. Customers were also given the chance to win free baked goods and coffee from Tim Hortons, as well as free car washes and a professional car detail from Delta Sonic.

Oakville, Ontario-based Tim Hortons is one of the largest publicly traded restaurant chains in North America based on market capitalization. Operating in the quick-service segment of the restaurant industry, it appeals to a broad range of consumer tastes, with a menu that includes premium coffee, espresso-based specialty coffees including lattes, cappuccinos and espresso shots, specialty teas, home-style soups, fresh sandwiches, wraps, hot breakfast sandwiches and fresh baked goods, including its signature donuts.
