Free Coffee for a Year? Yes, New Jersey, There Is a Santa Claus

QuickChek sweepstakes will reward 1 loyal customer per store chainwide

WHITEHOUSE STATION, NJ — Convenience-store retailer QuickChek is giving away a year of free coffee randomly to 159 customers, one per store, in a sweepstakes currently running through December.

Customers need a valid QuickChek Rewards account to enter the sweepstakes.Throughout the month, each time customers buy a hot or iced coffee at and scan their rewards barcode on their mobile device, they will be entered in the sweepstakes.

Winners, announced in January will receive a special QuickChek reusable tumbler to claim their one free cup of coffee every day for one year beginning that month.

“The holidays are a special time of the year, and we want to show our appreciation by rewarding some of our most loyal customers with a very special gift this holiday season,” said Don Leech, vice president of marketing and operations for Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based QuickChek.

Customers can enter the contest without making a purchase by mailing a 3-inch by 5-inch card printed with their name, address, city, phone number, date of birth and email address to QuickChek, one entry per envelope. This promotion is open only to registered QuickChek Rewards members who are legal residents of New Jersey or New York and are 18 or older at the time of entry.

Murphy USA Inc., El Dorado, Ark., in January completed its $645 million all-cash acquisition of QuickChek Corp., adding 157 convenience stores in the Northeast, increasing its total store count to more than 1,650.
