GetGo Café + Market’s new coffee program is bound to wake up more Advantage loyalty customers on Mondays starting April 3, when the convenience-store chain launches “Free Coffee Mondays” for a limited time.

“Whether it’s that morning pick-me-up or that afternoon indulgence, we know coffee goes a long way in making your day that much better. With ‘Free Coffee Mondays,’ we want to give our guests a great start to the week with a great-tasting coffee for free.” said Tony Harris, GetGo’s executive vice president and COO. The convenience-store chain is owned and operated by Pittsburgh-based Giant Eagle Inc.

To grab a free self-serve cup of java at any time of the day, consumers must be enrolled in one of the chain's loyalty programs and scan their Advantage Cards or myPerks cards, the company said. No purchase is necessary, and the promotion allows loyalty customers one free, self-serve hot or iced coffee every Monday.

“At GetGo, our guests are our top priority, and they’re at the center of everything we do,” Harris said.

In February, GetGo announced it had invested in new technology and equipment for its coffee bars at every location. The new program involved installing new bean-to-cup coffee machines and introducing a new, hand-blended Signature Blend coffee. The machines grind GetGo’s new “signature blend” coffee beans and a new selection of nitrogen-infused and cold brew latte coffees in most locations.

GetGo Free Coffee Mondays“Our food-first approach means making sure our made-to-order menu is fresh, delicious and unique above anything else,” said Farley Kaiser, director of culinary and innovation at GetGo in February. “Our goal was to serve the freshest and best-tasting coffee in the market, which meant undertaking a large-scale upgrade across our entire footprint.”

The company has more than 260 c-stores in western Pennsylvania, Ohio, northern West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.

GetGo’s new Signature Coffee combines four premium beans from around the world. The full-bodied coffee offers hints of smokiness, cocoa, citrus and cherry.

GetGo Café + Market locations are stocked with made-to-order foodservice menu options and ready-to-eat meals, dispensed beverages, packaged goods and general merchandise. The chain also has announced Bitcoin Depot bitcoin ATMs will be installed in selected locations.
