Gaubert Oil on March 24 opened the first of three planned Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants in its Go-Bears Food Marts in Louisiana.
The first Dickey’s, which sells Texas-style barbecue, opened in the Go-Bears Food Marts, a Gaubert Oil wholly owned subsidiary, at an Interstate 49 truck stop in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, Dickey’s said.
Two more locations will open later in 2025. The second is planned for a Go-Bears Food Marts in Thibodaux, Louisiana, CSP reported last year when the partnership was announced.
“We are so excited to bring Dickey’s signature Texas barbecue to Louisiana in partnership with Gaubert Oil and Go-Bears,” said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dallas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants. “This expansion marks a new chapter in our mission to deliver authentic Texas barbecue to more communities across the country. We know the Louisiana food scene is incredible, and we can’t wait to be part of it.”
The restaurant offers a full menu of award-winning smoked meats, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken paired with signature sides and hand-crafted barbecue sauces.
“We are proud to team up with Dickey’s to bring this renowned Texas barbecue experience to our Go-Bears Food Marts,” said Grady Gaubert, CEO of Thibodaux-based Gaubert Oil. “Dickey’s dedication to quality and flavor aligns perfectly with the values of our Go-Bears locations, and we are excited to offer our customers a new dining option that’s both delicious and memorable.”
Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group, said, “This partnership with Gaubert Oil is a great opportunity to grow our presence in Louisiana and further our mission of providing high-quality, authentic Texas barbecue to people all over the country. We can’t wait to see the impact it has on this community.”
When the partnership was announced last year, Grady Gaubert said, “For years, I’ve explored various franchise options, and when I found Dickey’s Barbecue, it was an obvious choice—a real home run for our community. The Dickey’s experience of quality and authenticity perfectly aligns with our values. The food is incredible, my team is excited and we’re thrilled to introduce Texas-style barbecue to our customers.”
Founded in 1941 by the Dickey Family, Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants has 866 restaurants across eight concepts in the U.S. and several countries.
Gaubert Oil, founded in 1926, is a multi-bulk plant commercial fuels distributor and c-store operator serving markets throughout Louisiana and East Texas.
