Carlos Pinzon is the new vice president of foodservice and branded QSR franchises of GPM Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arko Corp.

Pinzon has been at Richmond, Virginia-based GPM Investments for nearly 14 years where he has held various positions.

“Most recently, he managed the company’s food franchise business, shaped GPM’s QSR strategy, and supported [mergers-and-acquisitions] M&A activities,” a company spokesperson told CSP. “His deep understanding of store operations and food background positions him well to lead the company's foodservice initiatives as we expand its fas craves concept across GPM’s network.”

He assumes the role after Richard Guidry left the position, according to a message posted last week on Guidry’s LinkedIn page.

Guidry served in the role for two years, and he will be taking on consulting roles outside the c-store space while searching for his next executive position in the c-store space or another adjacent industry, Guidry said.

In June, the c-store retailer debuted its new foodservice concept fas craves at its fas mart location in Ashland, Virginia. The company said fas craves will continue to roll out alongside store remodels throughout Arko’s network,

“This new food concept remodel and the introduction of fas craves represent a bold step forward in how we serve our customers,” said Arie Kotler, president and CEO at Arko Corp. “We’re focused on transforming the convenience experience—not just with updated stores, but with food offerings that truly resonate with today’s on-the-go consumer.”

GPM Investments is a wholly owned subsidiary of Richmond, Virginia-based Arko Corp. It has more than 1,500 stores under more than 25 regional store brands, including fas mart, Li’l Cricket and Scotchman.
