Royal Buying promoting Krispy Krunchy Chicken program

HINSDALE, Ill. -- Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) said that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Krispy Krunchy Foods, partnering to operate and promote the Krispy Krunchy Chicken Program to the Chicago market and to new markets, nationwide. This agreement will allow RBG to provide retailers the Krispy Krunchy Chicken Program to convenience store locations and other standalone foodservice outlets.

The program is open and available to all retailers. Buying Group membership is not necessary, the company said.

Targeted to spanning [image-nocss] all dayparts, the Krispy Krunchy Chicken Program provides stores with a branded or cobranded image, unique and delicious complete menu offering, flexibility to use existing equipment (where possible), numerous graphics/signage options, onsite training, marketing development support and free design/layout, all with no contract to sign and no franchise or royalty fees.

RBG is currently opening new sites and reserving territory protection for new locations, it said. This program can be installed in any other type of retail format; for example, pizza restaurants and other restaurant and entertainment venues are currently reviewing this offering.

Dan Shapiro, executive vice president for Krispy Krunchy Foods LLC, said, We have been working with retailers who are part of Royal Buying Group and have wanted this partnership for a while. We think this gives us a tremendous opportunity to grow.

Established in 1993, Jonesville, La.-based Krispy Krunchy Foods started out as c-store owner/operators cooking food in their own locations, and it now provides a foodservice profit center for other c-store operators. Krispy Krunchy now counts more than 400 locations, it said.

RBG, Hinsdale, Ill., is a national organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of c-store and petroleum locations. Its core service capabilities include negotiating with regional and national suppliers for sales and marketing programs and providing category management, state marketing support, customer service support and other services to members.
