Hunt Brothers Leverages Social Media to Bring Back Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Facebook campaign introduces new characters, encourages customers to share videos

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Hunt Brothers Pizza is offering Buffalo Chicken Pizza during the month of March, supported by a campaign that launched March 4 on the Hunt Brothers Facebook page, introducing the audience to two hunters searching for an unknown species.

"Our customers have been asking for us to bring back our Buffalo Chicken Pizza on our social networks for months, so we are going to deliver," said Keith Solsvig, vice president for marketing. "We are going to have a little fun by introducing an animated character that is part buffalo and part chicken on our Facebook page and engage the passion of Buffalo Chicken Pizza within our community."

Buffalo Chicken Pizza includes 100% all-natural white meat chicken topped with a mixture of ranch dressing, Buffalo sauce and mozzarella and Monterey jack cheese on Hunt Brothers Pizza's original crust.

The Buffalo Chicken is too elusive to end up on the hunter's dinner plate. But Hunt Brothers Pizza's consumers will find Buffalo Chicken Pizza in convenience stores. It is only available for a limited time while supplies last.

The company is encouraging consumers to participate in bringing Buffalo Chicken Pizza back next year by sharing the animated videos within their social networks. The campaign will continue throughout the end of the month with regular status updates including animated videos, cartoon outtakes and fan engagement for Buffalo Chicken sightings.

With more than 6,800 locations in 28 states, Hunt Brothers Pizza is a leading brand of made-to-order pizza in the c-store industry. Hunt Brothers Pizza offers original and thin crust pizzas with "All Toppings No Extra Charge," breakfast pizzas, plus Hunt Brothers Wings and WingBites.
