
Krispy Krunchy Chicken is now in all of the Lower 48 States.
The Alexandria, Louisiana-based branded chicken provider opened March 14 at the T&C Market Basket convenience store, which includes a Cenex gas station, in Billings, Montana, Krystal Schwartz, store manager, told CSP.
“More than anything, the introduction has been a great partnership for us,” Schwartz said. “The training crew has been excellent in providing step-by-step training.”
Schwartz added that the response from customers has been “overwhelmingly positive.”

Krispy Krunchy Chicken, which opened more than 600 locations in 2024, bringing its total to more than 3,200. It sells Cajun-spiced fried chicken in c-stores and other retailers, including a recent partnership at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken specializes in fresh, hand-breaded chicken and chicken tenders with a mild Cajun spice. The brand also offers a Cajun Chicken sandwich, wings, chicken nuggets, honey biscuits and a variety of sides.
Earlier this year when the company announced its record number of openings in 2024, Norberg said, “We’ve grown on the solid foundation of prioritizing the profitability of our operators through a cohesive brand strategy, strong foundational partnerships and a focus on innovation. These efforts have driven a significant increase in interest throughout the industry, and we continue to be sought out as the preferred foodservice offering.”
Krispy Krunchy Chicken, founded in Louisiana in 1989, has a weekly chicken sales volume exceeding 1 million pounds. It’s a quick-serve solution for c-stores, truckstops, universities, casinos and big-box retailers across the United States. The store-in-store concept allows licensees to serve fried chicken and a full menu that also includes a variety of sides and the brand’s trademarked honey biscuits.
