Kum & Go Debuts Warm & Fuzzy 'Spokes-Creatures'

Will help promote Java Ridge coffee, collect dimes for Toys for Tots

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- "Two fun-loving creatures will be sharing their misadventures with coffee lovers this fall in an effort to help children in need," said Kum & Go chief operating officer Dennis Folden. "Warm" and "Fuzzy" will be making their debut this weekend as primary characters within Kum & Go's new marketing campaign.

Beginning on Saturday, October 1, Kum & Go will be offering cups of 20- or 24-ounce Java Ridge coffee, cappuccino or hot chocolate for the next two months. For each 20- or 24-ounce hot beverage sold, Kum & Go will donate 10 cents to Toys for Tots.

"Warm is the tall one whose big smile is plain as day," said Folden. "Fuzzy is fuzzy as can be and he wears his enthusiasm and optimism on his sleeve. Kum & Go was seeking a fun way to engage coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate lovers this fall. Fortunately, two fun characters emerged and offered their services as official 'spokes-creatures'."

Warm and Fuzzy are best pals and continually bond over their love of Java Ridge coffee, toys, coffee, good deeds, coffee, children, coffee, shiny dimes and coffee, the company said.

Warm said, "I think Fuzzy and I offer the perfect blend for Kum & Go. In fact, Java Ridge coffee always perks me up. It gives me an extra warm, fuzzy feeling all day because I know I'm warming a child's heart."

Fuzzy added, "Fuzzy like coffee!"

Warm and Fuzzy will appear on TV, radio, billboards, Facebook, Twitter,, Kum & Go posters, special Warm & Fuzzy cups and a new Java Ridge phone application. The phone application lets consumers take a picture with us, find the nearest Java Ridge coffee, download coupons and more.

Also, fans can follow the spokes-creatures on Twitter: Warm @kgwarm and Fuzzy @kgfuzzy.

Warm said, "Creatures are much more technologically advanced than most humans think."

Fuzzy added, "Buttons!"
