Twelve Loop Neighborhood convenience stores will feature Krispy Krunchy Chicken in a new partnership between the two companies.
The dozen locations are the California cities of Adelanto, Arbuckle, Brentwood, Elk Grove, Menifee, Modesto, Pittsburg, Sacramento (two locations), San Francisco, Stockton and Temecula.
“By integrating Krispy Krunchy Chicken’s proven hot food program, Loop can attract new customer segments, increase dwell time and drive repeat visits,” said Brett Yates, vice president of chain and business development for Atlanta-based Krispy Krunchy Chicken.
- Vintners Distributors/Loop Neighborhood Markets is No. 52 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.
According to a 2025 NACS State of the Industry report, foodservice accounted for more than 36% of in-store sales in U.S. convenience stores, with hot foods leading the growth segment, Krispy Krunchy Chicken said.
By partnering with Union City, California-based Loop Neighborhood, which is owned by Vintners Distributors, Krispy Krunchy Chicken said it aims to help Loop capitalize on this trend, driving incremental traffic and elevating the in-store foodservice experience for customers.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken said its full menu will be available at Loop stores, including hand-breaded fried chicken and tenders, a Cajun chicken sandwich, nuggets, wings, honey biscuits, sides and more.
This turnkey solution enables Loop to “quickly implement a scalable hot food program, leveraging Krispy Krunchy’s operational support, training resources and marketing expertise,” Krispy Krunchy Chicken said.
Krispy Krunchy also will be integrated into the Loop app, enabling digital ordering and increasing customer engagement.
Loop Neighborhood Markets is a chain of convenience stores in California featuring fresh and healthy products and standard c-store fare. Vintners operates Loop Neighborhood Markets and Poppy Market c-stores, and the rest of its stores are Shell- or Chevron-branded gas stations. The brand is supported by more than 20 fuel tankers that are visible on the highways throughout the Bay Area, where more than 130 company-operated stores are located. The company also operates gas stations and car washes and develops real estate. Vintners has a wholesale division that delivers fuel to about 60 dealer locations in the market, but the company has no other influence on products or operations for those locations.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken operates more than 3,400 quick-serve restaurant (QSR) units in all 48 of the contiguous United States, it said, selling more than a million pounds of chicken every week. The company provides foodservice solutions for convenience stores, truck stops, universities, casinos, sports arenas and more. Founded in Louisiana in 1989, the store-in-store concept allows licensees to serve hand-breaded, Cajun-spiced fried chicken and all-white meat jumbo tenders to customers to increase their in-store profitability and drive frequency. The full menu also includes a variety of sides and the brand's trademark honey biscuits.
