National Burrito Day is April 6, and Maverik is celebrating with half off all its BonFire burritos from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a Nitro loyalty card.

Salt Lake City-based convenience-store retailer Maverik also will load 1,000 Nitro customers with a free burrito on their digital app. Customers can check their app April 6 to determine if they received a free burrito.

“Available across all stores in 12 western states, burrito fanatics can grab a breakfast burrito made with tater tots, scrambled eggs and a variety of premium ingredients that come in varieties such as Chorizo (called Chorcheezo at Maverik), country sausage and smoked bacon,” Maverik said. “Serious burrito lovers go for the M.O.A.B., the Mother of all Burritos, with huge servings of Black Forrest ham, smoked bacon, sausage, eggs and tater tots.”

Lunch burritos are packed into an 11-inch tortilla with choices including, Beefy Cheese, Steak and Potato and Buffalo Chicken Ranch. There is a limit of 10 burritos per customer in this promotion.

In addition, Maverik’s premium, hardwood smoked meats are now available for a limited time in burrito options, the company said. The Burnt Ends Breakfast Burrito features burnt ends, eggs, potatoes, cheese and sauce. The Burnt Ends & Tots Burrito (pictured) has burnt ends, potatoes, cheese and sauce.

The chain will extend the half-off burrito deal to Maverik Adventure Club loyalty members who present an upgraded Nitro card at the time of purchase.

Last year, Maverik donated more than $470,000 to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization, to help support food banks across its 12 operating states in addition to donating more than 420,000 meals through recovering more than 500,000 pounds of surplus food through its food waste reduction program.
