Convenience-store chain Temp-Stop LLC has partnered with all-day breakfast franchise Huddle House. The two businesses signed a multi-unit development agreement, marking a significant expansion for Huddle House in Missouri, the Atlanta-based restaurant chain said.

The first Huddle House will open in a Temp-Stop in Sedalia, Missouri, a prominent landmark for locals for more than 50 years. The store is set to open in October.

Temp-Stop, based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, has 12 locations in Missouri and Kansas. The location includes a sit-down restaurant connected to the convenience store. Each Huddle House at Temp-Stop sites will be about 2,200 square feet with space for about 45 customers.

“When evaluating restaurant options, Huddle House stood out to us as the clear winner,” said Terry Green, Temp-Stop co-owner, president and managing member. “The brand has excellent franchise support in all areas from menu development to restaurant design, and we know that with their support we can meet and exceed the community’s dining expectations.”

The next Huddle House will be added to the Temp-Stop in Lee’s Summit.

“We are thrilled to bring the warmth and hospitality of Huddle House to central Missouri. Our strategic partnership with Terry reflects our dedication to expanding our presence in communities that value quality dining experiences,” said Kayla Edidin, senior director of development of Huddle House. “Together, we aim to create a destination where locals and travelers alike can savor delicious meals in a welcoming atmosphere.”

There are about 300 Huddle House restaurants open or in development across the United States. Huddle House’s offer coffee, home-cooked meals, Southern hospitality and big portions at fair prices, the company said. Menu items include Southern Fried Chicken Casserole, Strawberry Topped Waffle, Sausage Egg and Cheese Melt with Grits and more.
