BOISE, Idaho — Convenience-retailer Stinker has launched a new dispensed beverage program that includes Jarritos Freeze and an array of fountain options including milkshakes, protein shakes and smoothies and bean-to-cup coffee.
The chain, which recently launched a loyalty program, is using the No. 1 Mexican soda brand in the United States, Jarritos, made with natural flavors and real sugar, to reach a growing customer base, the company said.
Stinker, with a market of 107 convenience stores, spans Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming, has launched the following Jarritos Freeze flavors: lime, mandarin, pineapple and strawberry.
Boise, Idaho-based Stinker is getting marketing support, including equipment decals, from partner Sunny Sky, Houston, to help create a consistent look and feel across locations to boost brand awareness.

“The value of strategic vendor partners, such as Sunny Sky, that have a vested and holistic interest in our brand’s success and are willing to go above and beyond at all stages, was instrumental,” said Billy Colemire, Stinker’s category manager for food and beverage. “Utilizing the insights, marketing data and rollout support was key to the successful launch of Jarritos.”
In addition to Stinker’s enhanced beverage program, it also has accelerated efforts in elevating its food program, focusing on a variety of craveable comfort foods, made in-house daily and with the highest quality ingredients, the company said.
New offerings include menu items such as fresh chopped salads, hand-rolled burritos and wraps, 100% Angus burgers and hand-breaded and battered chicken tenders. Breakfast includes egg breakfast sandwiches with cracked pepper and sea salt and freshly baked doughnuts.
