Pester Pours Politics

Customers cast more than 76,000 votes in 2012 Show Your Support Customer Poll

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.-- Customers of Pester Marketing Co., which operates the 1st Stop/Alta Convenience store chains, can cast their vote and show their support for their favorite political party by purchasing a 32-ounce fountain drink in either a red (Republican) or blue (Democrat) 2012 election year cup.

The retailer began the 2012 Show Your Support Customer Poll promotion in early July; it runs through the November election.

Throughout the campaign, each of the 49 participating 1st Stop/Alta Convenience stores, located throughout Colorado, Kansas and in Hastings, Neb., have been tracking the number of red and blue cups that their customers have purchased. Each location posts a running tally to keep customers up to date with the store's poll results.

The retailer posts company-wide results, which are updated daily, on the website www.altaconvenience.com, as well as on Twitter @altaconv.

Results as of Sept. 3, 2012:
