Pilot has transitioned to 24/7 operations across its quick-service restaurant (QSR) footprint as part of its Pilot eats launch at its travel centers, Pilot told CSP.
“This rollout ensured that our guests have access to a full suite of dining options at any hour,” Gemma Patterson, senior director, restaurant relations and ecommerce at the Knoxville, Tennessee-based convenience-store chain, told CSP.
Pilot’s more than 350 QSRs—like Wendy’s, Dunkin’ and Taco Bell—are now open around the clock, seven days a week, according to Pilot’s website. Food delivery also is available 24/7 where third-party delivery drivers are available.
- Pilot Co. is No. 16 on CSP’s 2026 Top 40 update to the 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count. Watch for the full 2026 Top 202 ranking in June.
The shift, which began in March and includes 24/7 mobile ordering on the Pilot app and website, was driven by Pilot’s “commitment to providing a consistent and reliable food experience that meets the unique demands of the road, recognizing that professional drivers and travelers require quality options well beyond the traditional 9-to-5 window,” Patterson said.
Pilot Co. in March introduced two new food concepts, Pilot eats and Pilot eats Express. The c-store chain aims for the concepts to add more consistency across locations in how its food looks, feels and travels.
By transitioning its owned and operated QSR locations to 24/7 operations, Pilot can consistently offer a variety of hot, freshly prepared meals alongside its newly launched Pilot eats and Pilot eats Express menus, Patterson said.
“This guest-centric innovation is a direct response to feedback from our customers who prioritize convenience and consistency, further supported by our enhanced digital ecosystem that allows for 24/7 mobile ordering to get drivers back on the road faster,” Patterson said.
Each of Pilot’s QSR brands had a handful of locations open 24/7 prior to this change, Patterson said.
Pilot Co. is the largest operator of travel centers in North America, with more than 750 locations across 44 states and six Canadian provinces, selling about 14 billion gallons of fuel a year and about $3 billion in food and merchandise.
