QSRs Announce Latest Co-Brand Agreements

Chester's & Subway add new units

MILFORD, Conn. -- Two quick-service restaurants announced additions to their lineup of co-branded convenience store locations. During May, the Subway restaurant chain opened 275 new locations, including 22 in c-stores. And this week, Chester's International LLC announced two franchise agreements.

The Chester's agreement is with Texas Star Investments Inc., an 18-store chain of convenience stores based in Corpus Christi, Texas. During the month of August, Texas Star will open two Chester's chicken locations new c-stores located in Kingsville and Refugio, [image-nocss] Texas. Both locations will also be co-branded with a Subway.

We are very excited about our partnership with Texas Star, said Ted Giles, CEO of Chester's International LLC, Birmingham, Ala. We are looking forward to a great relationship between Chester's and Texas Star and to providing our customers with our quality food in a convenient location.

Meanwhile, Subway, Milford, Conn., has added co-branded locations in the following stores:

Little Rock Country Store, Snowville, Utah Mac's, La Fontaine, Ind. Mobil, Middleborough, Mass. Shelby C-Store, Conrad, Mont. Shell, Hardy, Ark. Shell, Prescott, Ariz. Texaco, Lebanon, Conn. White Oak C-Store, Salem, Ark. Phillips 66, Casselton, N.D.

The Subway chain now has more than 4,700 non-traditional units at 3,200 convenience stores, truck stops and travel centers around the world.
