Quick Chek Opens Monroe, N.Y., Store

Grand opening to kick off 13 days of free coffee, fountain drinks
WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek has announced the grand opening celebration of its newest location, in Monroe, N.Y., where it will offer customers free coffee, as well as free fountain drinks to kids under 5 feet tall, during the store's first 13 days in business (March 8 to March 20).

The new store will open to the public March 8 following a special Quick Chek Coffee Toast ceremony March 7. There, local officials, community members and store representatives will gather to toast Quick Chek's coffee and initiate the official Quick Chek ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration [image-nocss] of the store's official grand opening.

Managed by Store Leader Larissa Spratt, Quick Chek's new Monroe, N.Y., location will include its signature coffee bar, made-to-order fresh sub shop, soup bar offering a variety of daily choices, bakery items made fresh every day, a no-fee ATM center and 12 fueling locations.

And, during its first 30 days of operation, from March 8 to April 6, Quick Chek will thank the local community for its warm welcome by donating 25 cents to the Monroe-Woodbury Little League for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold.

In other company news, Quick Chek's South Plainfield, N.J., store will mark its 10th anniversary on March 1. Since opening its doors for business in 2001, the store has made hundreds of charitable contributions to area organizations through the years and sustains an ongoing invested interest in the community.

"Our Quick Chek stores maintain vibrant voices and presences within their communities, and throughout the past 10 years, the South Plainfield store has successfully continued this Quick Chek tradition," said John Schaninger, vice president of sales and marketing for Quick Chek. "We have a loyal family of customers who rely on this Quick Chek every day, and we intend to grow that family and keep supplying them with fresh, convenient products and services for years to come."

And the chain hosted its second "Coffee & Conversation" series of three meet-and-greet community meetings with Ulster Town Supervisor James Quigley on February 18; community members discussed local topics over complimentary Quick Chek coffee.

Quick Chek is a market leader in foodservice with its fresh coffee and fresh food program. Operating more than 125 retail locations in New Jersey and southern New York, Quick Chek's locations include 12 pharmacy stores and 29 locations with fuel.
