WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — Convenience-store retailer QuickChek has launched a new sub sandwich limited-time offer (LTO) for this year’s Thanksgiving celebration.
QuickChek’s Thanksgiving Everyday Sub is made with antibiotic-free turkey, stuffing, cranberry relish and mayonnaise on a 6-inch sub roll. The sandwich also comes as a wrap—the Thanksgiving Everyday Wrap—which also features antibiotic-free turkey, stuffing, Anytime Spuds, cranberry relish and mayonnaise. Customers can order the item in-store or through QuickChek’s Rewards mobile app for curbside pickup or delivery.
The retailer will donate 25 cents for every Thanksgiving sub and wrap it sells between Nov. 2 and Nov. 29 to the Check-Out Hunger fundraising campaign, one of New Jersey’s largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organizations.
“For us, Thanksgiving is more than a day of thanks,” said Dean Durling, CEO of QuickChek. “It’s a season of thanks, and especially this year when we wish to help our neighbors in need during these difficult times.”
About 54 million Americans are food insecure, and more than 1.2 million—400 of which live in New Jersey, according to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. QuickChek has raised $761,000 for local food banks during the six years it has collaborated with Check-Out Hunger. Most recently, QuickChek team members packed 19,350 meals to aid the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s Emergency Box Program.
