Red, White and Brew: Foodservice Deals for Vets on Veterans Day

Casey’s, Love’s, Rutter’s, 7-Eleven, Maverik, Circle K and Wawa are among those chains and locations that all have something in store for active military members as well as veterans.

Casey’s
Casey’s has a long history of supporting service members and military veterans across its 16-state footprint, the Ankeny, Iowa-based retailer said. This year, Casey’s is giving free coffee to service members both past and present on Veterans Day.
Casey’s is also inviting its guests to financially support two prominent nonprofit organizations, Hope For The Warriors and Children of Fallen Patriots, by rounding up at the register this November.
Love’s
Oklahoma City-based Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. on Veterans Day is offering all who have served or those currently serving in the military a free roller-grill item and fountain drink with the purchase of one roller grill item at participating locations.
A special edition 24-ounce Operation Homefront tumbler will also be available for purchase throughout November, with $5 from each sale going directly to the organization while supplies last.
“Our military families need our support, now, more than ever, and we are so grateful to Love’s for their steadfast commitment to help us build strong, stable and secure military families,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) Robert Thomas, COO of Operation Homefront. “Veterans Day is the perfect time to show our military families that we are grateful for all they have done for our nation in its time of need and to work hard to be there for them in their time of need.”
Rutter’s
York, Pa.-based Rutter’s will honor all veterans and active military on Veterans Day by offering a free coffee of any size to those in uniform or who present a valid military ID.
“We are extremely grateful for all of those who have served to protect our country,” said Chris Hartman, Rutter’s senior director of fuels, forecourt and advertising. “Rutter’s is happy to recognize these heroic members of our communities, and thank them for their service this Veterans Day.”
This offer will be available at all locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia on Nov. 11.
7-Eleven
7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes, Speedway and Stripes c-stores are offering a free quarter-pound Big Bite 100% all-beef hot dog to all customers in honor of veterans. Available in stores and via delivery through the 7Now app, this deal is redeemable only on Nov. 11.
The Irving, Texas-based retailer boasts a wide array of condiments and toppings including hot chili, melted nacho cheese, fresh onions, jalapeños, and pico de gallo.
Maverik
Maverik, Salt Lake City, will offer active military personnel and veterans a free hot beverage—including coffee, cappuccino, tea and hot cocoa—in any size with the purchase of a doughnut. This offer is good on Veterans Day.
Circle K
Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc.’s Circle K, based in Charlotte, N.C., in the United States, is offering all Veterans and active service members a free medium coffee on Veterans Day. All day Nov. 11, at every location that serves coffee throughout the United States, Circle K will be honoring all military members and thanking them for their service with this free offer.
To redeem the special deal, current and former service members can tell an associate they are a veteran or military member to get their cup for free.
Wawa
Wawa will again offer free, any-size hot coffee to veterans, active military members and their families, all day, with no military ID required, on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at all Wawa stores.
And for the 12th year, Wawa, Pa.-based Wawa is providing service members abroad with coffee care packages. Operation Taste of Home care packages are an annual tradition organized by Wawa associates and supported by the USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey and USO Central Florida who together help send more than 15,000 care packages to military currently deployed.
In addition, the Wawa Foundation presented a check to the USO for $800,586.54 raised through in-store coin and scan campaigns held at every Wawa store during the summer. The funds go to programs supporting the military and their families and are distributed to the local USO centers located throughout Wawa’s operating area. Since 2012, the foundation has raised more than $9.6 million to support USO programs and services.
