BALTIMORE The 4th annual Royal Farms ChickenPalooza, boasting an outer space theme, kicks off July 1 and runs through Aug. 31.

The themed swag available to purchase in stores includes T-shirts, socks (one size fits most), mini chicken toys and bumper stickers.

Meal deals include:

  • $6 two-piece chicken boxes that come with fries and a roll.
  • $12 eight-piece chicken buckets.
  • The new Royal Farms chicken sandwich available with spicy or classic garlic aioli sauce.

Beer and wine locations will also sell the World-Famous Pilsner, a collaboration with local brewery Heavy Seas. The pilsner is brewed to pair perfectly with Royal Farms chicken.

Throughout ChickenPalooza, Royal Farms will donate 10 cents of every chicken box sold to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore. Over the past years, through ChickenPalooza alone, Royal Farms has been able to donate $292,000 to the center. The space-themed chicken boxes include messaging letting customers know a portion of their box will help kids and their families in need.

In addition, four entrants will win free chicken for a year, awarded as eight $100 Royal Farms Gift Cards, through the ChickenPalooza sweepstakes.

Baltimore-based Royal Farms operates convenience stores in more than 240 locations throughout Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New Jersey. Its chicken is lightly breaded and pressure-cooked in trans-fat free cooking oil. Royal Farms’ fried chicken appeared on Food & Wine magazine’s Top 10 list of “10 Gas Station Foods Across the Country That are Worth the Detour” in 2019.
