YORK, Pa.  Rutter’s is partnering with Steel Reserve to offer green-colored Shamrock Spiked Slushies for the month of March.

The slushies feature a tropical flavor offering a citrus taste with a mix of sweet and sour. They come in a 20-ounce cup and 64- and 128-ounce party bags.

“At Rutter’s, we’re always looking for new ways to bring fun and unique offerings to our customers,” said Sean Pfeiff, Rutter’s senior category manager. “We believe customers will love our Shamrock Spiked Slushies along with the rest of our Spiked Slushies innovation planned throughout 2021.”

Rutter’s was the first convenience-store chain in Pennsylvania to offer spiked slushies, it said, adding them to its adult beverage lineup in 2019. They are available in 37 Rutter’s locations in the state. Each store will offer the shamrock flavor and nine other options, with some locations featuring up to 16 flavors.

This is not Rutter’s first foray into themed beverages. Last fall, the chain rolled out fall-themed beverages to celebrate autumn: pumpkin-flavored lattes, frappes and cappuccinos; pumpkin pie milkshakes and pumpkin pie milk; and pumpkin-flavored creamers and syrups with which to customize beverages.

York, Pa.-based Rutter’s operates 78 stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland and is No. 87 on CSP's 2020 Top 202 ranking of the largest c-store chains in the United States.
