
Rutter’s new South of the Border menu, which debuted March 31, boasts 27 classic taco recipes and eight limited-time offerings, the York, Pennsylvania-based convenience-store chain announced Monday.
This first wave of the new menu includes an array of proteins, sauces and flavor combinations, Rutter’s said.
- Rutter’s is No. 79 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.
The new menu features proteins like chicken, pulled pork, steak, taco meat, shrimp, fish, crab cake and a new beef barbacoa option, Rutter’s said.
“Guests will be able to create various unique taco creations, from traditional favorites to queso-loaded blends, BBQ varieties and sweet-heat combinations,” the company said.
The limited-time specialty tacos, available now through June, are:
- Fried Chicken Bacon Ranch
- BBQ Pulled Pork
- Classic Steak
- Nacho-Style Taco Meat
- Barbacoa Queso
- Sweet Heat Shrimp
- Shrimp BLT
- Old Bay Fish
Beyond tacos, the South of the Border menu allows guests to fully customize burritos, nachos and walking tacos, Rutter’s said.
“Our goal is to deliver restaurant-quality options quickly and conveniently, while letting guests personalize every bite,” said Philip Santini, senior director of food service and bar Strategy at Rutter’s. “The South of the Border platform provides dozens of flavor combinations across tacos, burritos, bowls, nachos and walking tacos. This launch is another step in our ongoing commitment to innovate and expand our menu.”
The South of the Border menu will be available at Rutter’s locations through in-store ordering kiosks and the Rutter’s app.
