YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores has completed the rollout of a new coffee program at each of its 51 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.
Classic and Decaffeinatedholdovers from Rutter's traditional coffee programhave been complemented by four new specialty flavors: Premium House, Dark Roast, Vanilla Hazelnut and High Voltage (50% more caffeine). It also has added new cappuccino and hot chocolate flavors.
Rutter's also expanded its menu of specialty coffee condiments, [image-nocss] including Italian flavored syrups; Ghirardelli chocolate, white chocolate and caramel sauces; chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg powders; and whipped cream.
Rutter's slogan is Why go anywhere else?,' and with the introduction of our new specialty coffees and condiments, our customers certainly can satisfy all of their coffee desires, said Brian Matlock, the chain's vice president of foodservice.
The York, Pa.-based company also recently announced total contributions of $160,000 to nine nonprofit organizations in support of children's programs in York County. In 2006, Rutter's will make charitable contributions of approximately $250,000, bringing its total for the past four years to more than $800,000, it said.
The biggest of Rutter's latest contributions is $50,000 to the York County Heritage Trust, which in the spring will open the new Rutter's Discovery Center for Children at its Historical Society Museum in downtown York.
The interactive Rutter's Discovery Center for Children will showcase the period between 1890 and 1910.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of York County Inc. $10,000 to support a school-based mentoring program called Students & Mentors Achieving Results Together (SMART), which pairs high school students with elementary students in 14 school districts in York and Adams counties. Crispus Attucks Association, York. $25,000 to support the organization's early-learning center, which serves children up to age 12. Dallastown Area Educational Foundation. $10,000 to support educational opportunity grants to teachers in the Dallastown Area School District. DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre, York. $15,000 to support main-stage productions of Young King Arthur and The Night Before Christmas. Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, York. $10,000 to provide partial scholarships for 2,000 area children to attend health-education programs. York County Library System. $15,000 to support author visits to elementary schools throughout the county. YWCA of Hanover. $10,000 to support Project Success, a new after-school educational program for elementary students.
