Sheetz brings back Tater Totz, ties promotion to National Tater Tot Day

Convenience-store retailers might be able to get more bang for their buck in a foodservice product comeback by tying it to the national day honoring the item.

Tater Totz, for example, are back on the menu after 18 months at Altoona, Pennsylvania-based Sheetz. In recognition of this return, Sheetz offered customers $1 off any Tater Totz purchase for National Tater Tot Day, Feb. 2, until Feb. 6.
