Restaurants are having fun with crispy, crunchy textures to liven up taste buds, and convenience-store retailers might want to get in on the action.

CSP sister publication Restaurant Business recently showcased what some restaurants are offering, including Burgerville’s Crispy Chicken Wonton Salad. This item includes romaine lettuce, napa cabbage, red cabbage, shredded carrots, sugar snap peas and daikon radish. It’s topped with crispy chicken and one of the Vancouver, Washington-based restaurant chain’s custom salad dressings.

Elsewhere, Culver’s, Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, has a Pretzel Haus Pub Burger, and Moe’s Southwest Grill , Atlanta, is offering a Queso Crunch Taco.

The Restaurant Business slideshow also highlights a few summery fruits and frosty treats and drinks to beat the heat.
