Subway Convenience Multiplies

More c-store units open for business

MILFORD, Conn. -- The Subway restaurant chain now has nearly 5,400 nontraditional locations in places such as airports, amusement parks, and grocery stores, including more than 3,200 restaurants in convenience stores, truckstops and travel centers around the world.

The Milford, Conn.-based sandwich shop chain currently has 25,329 locations in 83 countries.

In January, Subway opened 160 new locations, it said. The following is a breakdown of some of our most recent U.S. c-store openings:
