Convenience-store chain SunStop has partnered with Legends Hospitality for a Fresh Eats food program at Doak Campbell Stadium, home of the Florida State Seminoles football team.
The partnership allows people who might not otherwise consider SunStop a chance to try their food, said Michelle Weckstein, director of food and beverage brands for SunStop.
“When they do, they will realize we don’t serve gas station food. We have real food, and it’s really good food,” she said.
SunStop’s offerings will be available on the main concourse on the west side of the stadium and at the south end zone concession stand, the company announced Wednesday.
Menu highlights include chicken Caesar and buffalo chicken wraps; turkey and provolone, and ham and Swiss subs served on Hawaiian rolls; and fresh baked cookies.
“At SunStop, we are foodies at heart. Quality and freshness are very important to us,” Weckstein said. “We’ve gone to great lengths to source sub rolls that stay fresh when refrigerated and we’ve partnered with the leader in sweet Hawaiian bread to create sandwiches that are both delicious and satisfying. Real fresh food is our passion, and we are excited to have our sandwiches and other items sold at the stadium.”

SunStop’s fresh subs are also available at Florida State University softball, baseball and soccer concession stands. The partnership with Legends Hospitality allows the chain to provide food offerings outside of their convenience stores, SunStop said.
Bainbridge, Georgia-based SunStop, owned by Southwest Georgia Oil Co. Inc., has 81 stores. It continues to grow its footprint in Tallahassee, home of Florida State University, currently operating six stores locally with a seventh set to open next year.
