NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Wholesale fuel and convenience-store operator Tri Star Energy has opened two Twice Daily locations with new store designs and extended menu offerings.

The stores—located in Arrington and La Vergne, Tenn.—feature White Bison Coffee and a variety of breakfast sandwiches, such as Sausage, Egg and Cheddar on Ciabatta; Ham, Egg and Swiss Avocado on Pretzel; and Avocado Bagel. Each location also includes White Bison Coffee drive-thru windows, allowing guests the convenience of ordering without leaving their car.

Tri Star’s White Bison coffee shop concept was introduced in late 2017 as a growth strategy. It included a new store layout that has the coffee shop on one side, the convenience store on the other side and the checkout in the middle. Some sites offer drive-thru coffee service. All stores remained open during this year's coronavirus pandemic, generating strong inside sales but suffering from out of stocks due to challenges in the supply chain.

“Our new store design is a commitment to our guests as we continue to provide quality convenience with updated technology,” said Steve Hostetter, CEO of Tri Star Energy. “Our new integrated stores will be the first Twice Daily and White Bison Coffee locations in Arrington and La Vergne, making them the first communities to experience our new look. We look forward to bringing our new design to additional markets in the near future.”

Founded in 2000, Nashville, Tenn.-based Tri Star Energy owns and operates Twice Daily and Sudden Service convenience stores and supplies fuel to wholesale channels of trade in 14 states. Its White Bison Coffee is offered in middle Tennessee and northern Alabama. Tri Star is No. 76 on CSP's 2020 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by size.
