DALLAS — Packaged egg roll manufacturer Van’s Kitchen has partnered with three new brokers to boost its activity in the convenience-store channel.

The Dallas-based food producer has collaborated with KC Krafts, Brush Prairie, Wash., which will handle Van’s western store presence; Total Convenience Marketing, Humble, Texas, which will handle Van’s eastern, southeastern and southern presence; and CSM Sales, Peachwood, Conn., which will handle Van’s presence in the Upper Midwest.

“We have had some early success in the [c-store] channel and are looking to our new broker relationships to move us much farther,” said Theresa Motter, CEO of Van’s Kitchen.

Van’s offers refrigerated and frozen egg rolls, both of which can be served as roller-grill, heated merchandised and packaged grab-and-go items in convenience stores. Its most popular egg roll varieties in the convenience space include pork, chicken, orange chicken and vegetable.

“We are only as good as our servicing partners and we have chosen strong regional brokers to assist us to meet retailer needs,” said Carl Motter, chief strategy officer for Van’s Kitchen. “We are excited about our relationship with all three brokers who specialize and have proven track records in the convenience channel. We look forward to helping retailers grow their foodservice sales. All three brokers have demonstrated successes in providing strong programs and retailer solutions in their respective regional strongholds.”

Van’s Kitchen was founded in 1986 by Vietnamese immigrants Van and Kim Nguyen, originally under the name Van’s Oriental Food.
