Wawa is the latest convenience-store chain rolling out an item with chicken.
The Wawa, Pennsylvania-based company is now offering a limited-time deal through March 22 featuring all chicken sandwiches for $5.
“We’re proud to offer satisfying meal options throughout the day at an exceptional value,” said Mary-Rose Hannum, chief marketing product officer at Wawa. “For just $5, customers can customize their meals exactly the way they’re craving them—whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.”
This offer includes all crispy and roasted chicken sandwich varieties, which can be customized with various cheeses, spreads, toppings and seasonings.

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven earlier this month debuted $5 limited-time chicken deals at its Raise the Roost, Speedy Cafe and Laredo Taco Company restaurants.
Last month, Casey’s General Stores debuted a new item featuring chicken: the Barn Burner Chicken Pizza. This is an employee-developed pizza that won the convenience-store chain’s annual pizza competition.
In its Chicken Global Menu Category Report 2025, CSP sister research arm Technomic said, “Chicken is one of the most versatile and suitable menu platforms for incorporating trendy and of-the-moment flavors and ingredients, both in entrees and snacks.”
Chicken chains spread product development across the menu, with entrees the primary area of focus, Technomic said, adding that limited-time-offer strategies should include themes and ingredients that cover everything from mains to sides the desserts.
Cheese options for Wawa’s chicken sandwiches include American, provolone, Swiss, cheddar and pepperjack. Spreads include garlic aioli, mayo, spicy mustard and honey mustard. Toppings include shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, sweet peppers and spinach. Seasonings include salt, pepper, oregano and spicy chicken.
The $5 chicken sandwich offer complements Wawa’s ongoing $5 Big Breakfast Deal, which includes a hash brown, any size hot or iced coffee and a Sizzli breakfast sandwich from 5 to 11 a.m. Wawa’s Sizzli varieties include a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sizzli Bagel, Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sizzli Bagel, the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sizzli Burrito and more.
This deal also is available through March 22.
