Although a significant player in the convenience-store space, Giant Eagle is a supermarket chain that operates primarily in Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh-based company introduced the GetGo c-store concept in 2003, and it now has more than 200 locations in Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Three years later, it developed the Market District and Market District Express concepts, which offer gourmet, specialty and organic food options. In 2013, it launched Giant Eagle Express, a hybrid between a supermarket and a c-store.

Along with consumer fueling, the chain offers GetFleet Regional and GetFleet Universal fueling programs. The rebate programs offer up to 7 cents off per gallon. GetFleet Universal cardholders gain access to a network that includes 90% of all fueling locations nationwide and more than 45,000 service merchants, anywhere that accepts Wright Express.

Units use the Dresser Wayne fuel system to supply GetGo-branded fuel.

The c-stores also link fuel to the parent chain’s grocery stores with its fuelperks! loyalty program.

GetGo offers “100% guaranteed fuel.” If a vehicle develops a problem that was caused by gasoline purchased at one of its locations, the company will pay for the repair.
