GoMart

Go Mart Inc., Gassaway, W.Va., operates as a low-cost leader, offering competitive prices on gasoline, diesel, tobacco, beer, soft drinks and milk. The convenience stores are known for being well-lit, in good locations and with courteous employees. Its customer base is working-class people employed in the timber, coal and natural-gas industries.

Go Mart has grown from 16 stores in 1980 to 115 in 2014, and most of the original 16 have been rebuilt. In 2013-2014, the company purchased two stores, built one new store and rebuilt two existing units. Store footprints vary.

About half of its sites sell diesel fuel. Go Mart features its own brand of gasoline in 115 of the stores, with BP in half a dozen and Sunoco in one. The chain uses the Dresser Wayne fuel system.
