No. 49 on last year’s Fuels 50, Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer Gas Stations operates under the parent Meijer organization, a major retailer with a large network of supercenter stores, gas stations and convenience stores. Most locations feature its multiple retail formats on a single site. Meijer Gas Stations offer fuel as well as c-store services, including prepared food. Billed as “The Original Supercenter,” the company is also a member of Topco Associates, a privately held cooperative company that leverages the volume of its membership to offer private-label products. The company also owns and operates tunnel car washes.

Meijer offers E85 in some locations. In addition to unleaded regular, midgrade and premium unleaded fuel, Meijer offers diesel fuel at all locations and kerosene at many locations.

Meijer offers its fuel customers the Meijer Gas Alerts messaging service, which sends alerts to users’ phones when prices are expected to increase; a Meijer credit card which offers 10 cents off per gallon; and the Meijer Fleet Card, which lets businesses save up to 5 CPG off Meijer gas with monthly rebates from the first gallon.
