Chevron Marketer Exits Retail Supply

DALTON, Ga. -- Longtime Chevron branded marketer, Ownbey Enterprises, has divested its entire dealer-supply business as part of a comprehensive business reorientation.

Company President Rodney Ownbey said the retail supply landscape “has become highly complex” and the company will now focus on the commercial side of the fuels and lubricants business, having sold its marketer business to Premier Petroleum, Atlanta.

Founded in 1971, Ownbey Enterprises, Dalton, Ga., is a three-generation family business that served customers in northwest Georgia, southeastern Tennessee and northeastern Alabama.

PetroActive Real Estate Services LLC, Miami, provided exclusive advisory support to Ownbey Enterprises for this transaction.
