C.N. Brown Switching 42 Stations to CITGO

Conversion to brand's new street image taking place through April
SOUTH PARIS, Maine -- Fuel distributor C.N. Brown Co. said that it is converting 42 gas stations across Maine and New Hampshire to the CITGO brand. The move extends the company's 20-year partnership with CITGO Petroleum Corp. The newly branded stations, which will be converted between February and April, will feature the new CITGO street image and fresh service options for fuel and convenience store customers.

Brown. "We already own or service more than 30 local CITGO locations in the Northeast, so we know the strength of the brand firsthand. When we decided to convert these new locations, we wanted a partner who had refining might, reliable supply, great customer service, and an innovative portfolio of programs. Most importantly, we wanted to work with a solid, stable company that was committed to the region and would be around for a long time. CITGO met all of those criteria."

Since 1948, C.N. Brown has provided quality products, employment opportunities and community support across New England. As the owner of Big Apple food stores, Red Shield heating oil locations and independently operated gasoline stations across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts, the locally owned family business plays an important role in the communities it serves.

The more than 900 C.N. Brown employees are also committed to "fueling good" by supporting of a wide range of charitable and community programs. For example, C.N. Brown is one of the largest supporters of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) within the CITGO network raising more than $3.8 million through company sponsored events over the past 26 years.

CITGO, based in Houston, is a refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company is owned by PDV America Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela SA, the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

South Paris, Maine-based C.N. Brown operates 86 Big Apple Food Store convenience outlets throughout New England. It also operates 10 car washes and sells heating oil.
