IRVING, Texas -- Harold R. Cramer, vice president of Exxon Mobil Corp. and president of ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Co., has announced his intention to retire effective January 1, 2012, with more than 38 years of service.
Cramer joined Mobil Corp. in May 1973. During his career, he held a wide range of marketing, planning, supply, financial and management positions. These positions included planning manager overseeing Mobil's corporate planning activities; general manager supervising global supply, distribution, trading and sales; president, Mobil South Inc.; president, Mobil Asia Pacific; president, Mobil Europe; executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mobil Corp.; and member of Mobil Oil's Executive Committee.
Following the Exxon and Mobil merger, he was appointed vice president of Exxon Mobil Corp. and president of ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Co. in December 1999.
The company did not name Cramer's successor.
ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing is made up of three brands providing fuels to millions of customers at 42,000 gas stations, 700 airports and 300 marine ports. Exxon-, Mobil- and Esso-branded stations can be found in 118 countries. ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing has developed a portfolio of market-specific retail formats. One of these is the On the Run convenience store concept, available at more than 800 sites in 26 countries.
Irving, Texas-based ExxonMobil, the largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, is the largest refiner and marketer of petroleum products.
