LAS VEGAS -- The Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA) has elected Grady Gaubert, president and CEO of Gaubert Oil Co., Thibodaux, La., as 2015 PMAA chairman of the board.
Additionally, the board elected two vice chairmen--Mike Bailey, Bailey Oil Co., Riverton, Wyo.; and Mark Whitehead, Whitehead Oil Co., Lincoln, Neb.
The association board also elected five regional leaders to the PMAA Executive Committee:
- Aaron Littlefield, Littlefield Oil Co., Fort Smith, Ark.
- Gregg Benson, Rebel Oil Co., Las Vegas
- Roger Lane, Georgia Oilmen's Association, Lawrenceville, Ga.
- Chris Herb, Connecticut Energy Marketers Association, Cromwell, Conn.
- Mike Rud, North Dakota Petroleum Marketers Association, Bismarck, N.D.
In accepting the position, Grady thanked the board of directors for their confidence in him and outlined some his goals and objectives for 2015. He focused substantial attention on the need to ease the massive government regulatory burdens imposed on petroleum marketers.
Gaubert is a third-generation petroleum marketer, serving as president of Gaubert Oil, which was founded by his grandfather in 1926.
Gaubert Oil is a full line jobber business offering motor fuels and lubricants. Grady has significantly expanded the business since taking over as president. It operates a subsidiary convenience store corporation, Gaubert Food Marts (Go-Bears), in southern Louisiana.
He has served as president of the Louisiana Oil Marketers & Convenience Store Association and has served on jobber councils for Chevron, Texaco and Shell. He has been recognized as a "Small Businessman of the Year" by the governor of Louisiana.
