Gilbarco Veeder-Root Rolls Out Passport to Exxon Company-Ops

Stations upgrading, adding POS systems

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- ExxonMobil has selected Passport, Gilbarco Veeder-Root's touchscreen point-of-sale (POS) system, for all of its Exxon-branded company-operated stores that have Gilbarco forecourt equipment.

With this selection, Exxon locations across the United States are currently upgrading their G-SITE POS systems and bringing new sites online with Passport.

Martin Gafinowitz, president for Gilbarco North America, said, "We continue to strengthen our relationship with ExxonMobil and to deliver new functionality that improves [image-nocss] the performance of their stores."

This newest version of Passport is built on Microsoft's XP operating system. Additional features include merchandising and fuel discounting capabilities and car wash kiosk support. Passport has broad network approvals and is a cost-effective upgrade from the G-SITE POS systems, the company said.

The Passport is also available for purchase by the Exxon or Mobil-branded distributors.
