Gulf Oil Hires South, Mid-Atlantic Sales Reps

Dickerson and Houghtaling join as territory sales managers

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. -- Gulf Oil has hired two territory sales managers to help support the company’s brand expansion in the Southern and Mid-Atlantic markets.

Barry Dickerson has joined Gulf Oil as territory sales manager for Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He previously held sales positions at companies such as Dallas-based Alon USA and the biofuels producer Renewable Energy Group Inc., Ames, Iowa. In 2016, Gulf Oil announced it was entering several major Texas markets, including Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.

Gary Houghtaling is Gulf Oil’s new territory sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic. He most recently was territory sales manager of branded fuels for Virginia Beach, Va.-based fuel distributor PAPCO, and also worked at distributor Griffith Energy Services, Columbia, Md.

"We are thrilled to have Barry and Gary join our team and expect they will continue the strong momentum we have built in their territories," said Meredith Sadlowski, senior vice president of branded sales and marketing for Gulf Oil. "As Gulf continues to grow, their experience and expertise are exactly what we need to expand our supply offerings in these markets."

Gulf Oil, Wellesley Hills, Mass., owns and operates 17 proprietary terminals in the Northeast and supplies gasoline, heating oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel and kerosene through its network of 75 other refined-petroleum product terminals.
