Each fuel product has its own hose, allowing maximum flexibility for the marketer. Separate hoses are required for ethanol-gasoline blended fuels of different ratios in some states, and the flexible fuel NJ2 is the industry's first flexible [image-nocss] fuel model to offer this configuration (UL approval pending). The new flexible fuel NJ2 features the same warranty and CRIND options as the other Encore S models, including PCI and EMV-compliant payment systems and Applause Media System.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the National Conference on Weights & Measures have approved 19 other Gilbarco Encore S and Encore 300 flexible-fuel dispenser models for use with ethanol blends up to E25.
"Retailers are requesting products that provide flexibility in the fuel choices they can offer their customers. Increasing consumer demand for ethanol based fuels, combined with incentive programs to encourage the development of an infrastructure to deliver these fuels, are helping to create demand for a range of products," said Chad Johnson, product manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "The Encore series flexible-fuel dispensers help retailers meet demand for higher ethanol fuel blends and offer the opportunity to capture blender tax incentives as well."
Gilbarco Veeder-Root offers a broad range of dispensers specifically designed for alternative fuels.
"As a Growth Energy board member, we are proud to support and help build the nation's ethanol infrastructure," said Johnson.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root is a leading global supplier of integrated fuel control, site management and support services for petroleum marketers and commercial fueling enterprises.
