The new Irving Oil station is open to the public. A grand-opening celebration to welcome new and returning customers is expected in the coming weeks, the company said.

"Irving Oil is exactly that type of company. We are excited to help grow the Irving brand in the state of Vermont."
The North Springfield Smart Shop offers complete convenience store service, competitive prices, Green Mountain Coffee and ample parking. The location will participate in Irving's gasoline savings program with Shaw's Supermarkets.
In October, Midway Oil announced the opening of two new Irving locations in Poultney and Fair Haven, Vt. The Poultney Snack Shop is located adjacent to Green Mountain College and offers complete convenience store service with a variety of products at competitive prices including, Irving clean gasoline, Green Mountain Coffee, beer, wine and tobacco products. The Fair Haven Smart Shop offers similar competitive prices and features a Dunkin' Donuts satellite in the store.
Midway Oil is owned by the Trombetta and Merone families and is based in Rutland, Vt. The company supplies fuel for 53 gas stations and owns 20 locations in Vermont and upstate New York.
