TAC Energy Partners With VP Racing Fuels Retail Brand

Distributor to be key source of unbranded supply

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- TAC Energy has come aboard as a partner in the VP Racing Fuels retail brand program. One of the nation's largest independent fuel wholesalers, TAC Energy has agreed to supply fuel to VP-branded retail stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth and East Texas areas.

As a major supplier, TAC will represent a key strategic component of VP's value proposition as a source of unbranded supply, said Alan Cerwick, president of VP Racing Fuels.

"We're always seeking organic growth so it made perfect sense to help fuel VP's strategy for success by offering a lower cost of supply," said Derrick Maynard, sales manager for TAC Energy. "We see tremendous benefits in VP's program for their retailers. With a lower cost of supply, coupled with additional revenue streams from VP's fuel additives--both packaged and blended inline at the pump--and additional savings in credit card processing fees, VP's brand program offers compelling advantages for its brand partners."

"Among performance enthusiasts, VP Racing Fuels has an unmatched reputation for power and reliability," said Cerwick. "As we look for unbranded wholesale fuel providers, we intend to maintain the same high standards so TAC Energy became an obvious choice. TAC Energy is a reliable supplier of unbranded fuels with a deep passion for their brand, quality and customer service, and we're happy to have them become part of Team VP."

TAC Energy is one of the nation's largest independent distributors of refined petroleum products. With an annualized fuel volume of nearly a billion gallons, TAC Energy offers customers a variety of services through its network of petroleum terminals, in-house 24/7 supply and logistics call center and customized fuel management programs.

In other VP Racing Fuels news, the Elmendorf, Texas-based company has announced that New England Dragway (NED), a major regional drag racing facility and host to the NHRA Nationals in June, has signed a long-term agreement for exclusive fuel supply at the Epping, N.H., facility.

"Track manager Joe Lombardo and his fellow board members, Paul Lorenti and Tommy Boucher, are a great bunch of guys who do a fantastic job," said Jim Kelly, VP's eastern regional manager. "In partnership with the NHRA last year, their team presented a great race in front of a huge crowd. Racers and fans from the U.S. and Canada packed the place to be part of the region's first NHRA National Event."

VP Racing Fuels is also the Official Fuel of NHRA Championship Drag Racing, Tudor United SportsCar Championship, the ACT Tour, Rally America and DIRTCar, along with Lebanon Valley Dragway, Atco Raceway, MIR, Cecil County, Thunder Road SpeedBowl, Lime Rock Park, Watkins Glen and Santa Pod Raceway in the UK, among other series and tracks in North America and around the world.
